For those of you who didn’t know Carly, let me tell you a bit about who Carly was and what she fought for all her young life.
Carly fought for human rights and humanitarian issues all the time. She worked for a as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal employee, where she travelled to countries where war is ongoing and safely helped in detonating bombs that had been left in zones of conflict.
Her job was to locate and identify the ordnance and then evaluate the hazard it presented to the local civilian population. Once this was known, she would have to take action to mitigate risk by rendering the item safe.
If this was not possible, Carly or a member of her team would ensure safe disposal through neutralization or demolition.
At the end of last year, Carly sadly passed away at the age of 28, in the name of her job. For security reasons we can’t explain too many details but know this…Carly fought for the rights of humans all over the world. She campaigned day and night, physically helped those less fortunate and really made a difference. She didn’t just talk about it. She actually did it.
Not to mention, as a friend, sister, daughter and auntie she was the most loyal and caring person anyone could have asked to have in their lives. As they say ‘only the greats die young’ and there was never a truer word spoken in Carly’s case.
So in her memory, and how she would have wanted it. We have set up a donations page to give back to those less fortunate. We will be donating all the money to Carly’s team of colleagues who continue to do an incredible job all over the world.
The global humanitarian catastrophe is real and it is a daily battle for some. So if you want to donate to a worthy cause, you’d found it. No matter how big or small the donation, you will be making a real difference to those currently suffering.
