On the 24th March our beautiful nephew Connor was diagnosed with a Spinal Cord Tumor.
Spinal cord tumors are the second most common cancers in children and account for about 1 out of 4 childhood cancers. Connor has been diagnosed with an aggressive tumor and the prognosis is grim.
The news is shocking , especially to her parents (Jenny and Keith) who have not only had to start coming to terms with what’s in front of them, but also potentially losing their beautiful little man.
Both parents have decided to take time off of work to be with Connor 24/7 however obviously this has taken a toll on their financial situation as they will now both be out of work, with no monthly income and the burden of very high cost medical bills.
We are currently looking at all the clinical trials available and Connor is also receiving treatment and diagnostics on a daily basis to see what the best way forward is. A Clinical trial may be one way for Connor to get the newest treatments. They are the best way for doctors to find better ways to treat tumors. However, these things are also very expensive.
We have decided to start this page so Jenny and Keith can focus all their attention on being with Connor and not have to worry about work or paying bills.
We adore Connor, he is our nephew, a son, a grandson and a friend and with your support and prayers at this difficult time we are sure to help!
