London Care Package

homeless

I’ve lived in London all my life and as I’m sure some of you are aware, it’s pretty cold here in the winter. But no big deal, you get home, turn on the heating wrap up warm, make a cuppa and settle down for the evening right? Maybe watch an episode of Game of Thrones and turn down the heating when it gets a bit too warm in the house….Yet the other day while  at work, I couldn’t help thinking about the cold to come in the coming months and feel a bit guilty.

I mean I’ve got a roof over my head, whatever I want to eat and drink and to be honest I take it for granted a bit too much sometimes. Everyday working in central London I see so many homeless people that go day in day out with nothing, not even the bare minimum. They endure freezing temperatures in the Winter in the city and nobody really pays any attention.

I’m not here to make you feel guilty, you all work hard to create the lives you have and truly deserve them. This is more about celebrating that, the fact that you have a roof over your head and clothes to choose from and that maybe, just maybe you have some spare cash for this holiday season to help others who may be struggling.

With christmas just around the corner I can’t help but think about those that are out in the cold and alone this holiday season so I would like to invite you to join me in helping the homeless in London and try and keep them that bit warmer this year.

Every single penny from your donations will go towards purchasing items to create a care package that i will personally distribute across the city.

These packages will include:

  1. A blanket

  2. A scarf

  3. Beanie Hat

  4. Gloves

  5. Thick socks

  6. A packet of biscuits

  7. Bottle of water

  8. Wet Wipes

  9. Toothpaste

  10. Toothbrush

This donation page isn’t unique, there’s plenty like it online with lots of great people already helping the homeless and I want to add to that for my city.

It would be amazing if you could donate to this cause, any amount will help and if not then a like and a share on social media will go a long way too.

Thanks.
