Jonah’s march for Diabetes

My Son Jonah suffers from Type 1 Diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that causes the insulin producing beta cells in the pancreas to be destroyed, preventing the body from being able to produce enough insulin to regulate blood glucoses.

This means, for the past 2 years since Jonah’s diagnosis – similar to many people around the world he has to inject himself daily. This is done to prevent ‘hypos’ and ‘hypers’ the names given for low and high blood sugars, which can be very dangerous.

Jonah, for this reason wants to raise awareness and money for the American Diabetes Association whose mission is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.

He will be walking 10km to raise money for this charity and to try and help those looking for cures to find them sooner. He suffers on a daily basis and wants to find a way to help end it.

So as a mother of a little boy who is doing good, I have opened up this page for him so that everyone and anyone can donate to a fantastic cause and help Jonah get that extra little push for doing his march.

Any donation no matter how big or small helps so please give whatever you can today!

Thanks
