How to Help: Hero Cop Loses Home in Fire

During the recent fires in Tehama County in California, an on-duty officer was helping evacuate residents to safety. While he was working hard to help others, his own home was burned to the ground. The Red Bluff community created a GiveHope fundraising campaign to help one of their own recover from this devastating fire.


Corporal Ruben Murgia, from the Red Bluff Police Department, was the first officer to arrive at the scene in Red Bluff. As he worked to get people out danger, his pregnant wife and children were being evacuated out of their home.
